New Signs

I spent a cold Winter’s night yesterday with my photographer friend Clare making exploratory photos of the painted sign project (leading on from Build Brighton) in the city back streets. I’m still feeling my way with this one and there’s a couple of things that need to be tweaked – for example, better supports for the sign backs so they don’t bend and trying to avoid glare from the flash photography! I’m interested in how people read signage and the impulse it gives them to follow, regardless of the consequences.
